mysticdream Posted November 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2008 Room Help Needed Is it worth an extra $240 to upgrade from an E1 to a D1 balcony. There will be 4 in the room so it will be tight. How much of a difference does the extra 20 feet make. E1 room is right at the front of the ship. Is this a good location (no neighbours on the one side). How is the front for movement (Panama in March) . The D1 balcony is closer to the back. Which would you choose????????? Thanks for your help
Sue L Posted November 3, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2008 Are the 4 people all adults? If yes, run for the D1. Frankly I do not like being up front and will take an aft room without hesitation. Even if the 4 are not all adults you will be much better off. If 2 are kids how old are they? Have you considered putting them across the hall in an inside and yourselves in the E1? Two bathrooms is priceless.

PhoenixCruiser Posted November 3, 2008 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2008 Agree with Sue, it is worth the extra $$. We found the E2 to be small for just the two of us. ###
tomko2 Posted November 3, 2008 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2008 Agree with Sue as well. We have an aft E1 booked this winter and I keep trying for a D1 aft to switch to for the two of us. Kathy:)
cb at sea Posted November 3, 2008 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2008 Always book the largest room you can afford. Ship cabins are small--nothing like a hotel, until you start getting into the "suite" catagories. For 4 adults, you do NOT want an E catagory!
