SCUBA Mark Posted November 7, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2008 9 Days and counting. Where is the best place to park? There are three parking lots you can use City of Galveston http://www.galveston.com/cruiseparking/ Easy Cruise Parking http://ezcruiseparking.com/ Lighthouse Parking http://www.lighthouseparking.org/ You can save $5 if you make reservations on-line with the commercial places to park. Some hotels also let you park for free if you spend the night there I have always used EZ Cruise parking and I am happy with them Mark

See their site regarding the $5.00 pre-pay discount, the Disabled Vets and Purple Heart Recipients free parking, one free parking space for Travel Agents, and the $10.00 per vehicle discount on groups of 10 or more cars. I hope this additional information will be helpful! Kat
browneyes7 Posted November 9, 2008 #4 Share Posted November 9, 2008 We've been very happy with EZ Cruise parking. We reserve a space on line and save money. We pay $35 for a 5 day cruise. I can't remember what we pay for the 7 day, but I'm sure you get a discount for that, also.:)
petro772 Posted November 10, 2008 #5 Share Posted November 10, 2008 Lighthouse is also very good. Check them for their discount. ;)
Easyone Posted November 11, 2008 #6 Share Posted November 11, 2008 We've parked at both the Port of Galveston lot and the EZ lot. IMHO, the Port of Galveston lot might cost a little more, but gives you better value. You can drive up to the terminal and drop off your party and luggage, then catch a shuttle back. Last Thanksgiving, our party of four parked at EZ lot and stood in the cold with a threat of rain dodging puddles of water for an hour before getting on their shuttle. They were using their shuttle vans to jump-start dead batteries; and when a van finally pulled up, it was quickly filled because half of the van had to be used for luggage space. We're going again Nov 16 on the Conquest. My $65.00 (to be split with our friends) for the Port of Galveston lot will be wisely spent! :D

browneyes7 Posted November 15, 2008 #8 Share Posted November 15, 2008 Can your drop off luggage and other party members if you use ez park? Sure. Just drop them off first and then drive to EZ Cruise and have them bring you back to the port on their shuttle.:)
trainnut Posted November 17, 2008 #9 Share Posted November 17, 2008 We just got back from Galveston last week, and used Lighthouse parking. We liked it, as they took us and our luggage right from the car to the terminal. We only had about a 5 minute wait before their bus (30+passengers, so plenty of room for luggage) pulled up right in front of us, loaded our luggage, and we were on our way. The lot looked well lit, was fenced, and supposedly has security 24/7 (obviously, we weren't there to check <G>).
