Megnolia Posted November 8, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2008 I couldn't get any replies over on the Barbados board after a week or so, so I wonder if anyone here has flown with Bajan Helicopters. I would love to do a tour with them, but can't find a lot of information or reviews online. If you flew, how did you like it? Was it worth the money in your opinion? Thanks! mariemorgan Posted November 8, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2008 Here's some reviews I found http://www.zagat.com/Verticals/PropertyDetails.aspx?VID=32&R=105065 This link mentions it: http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/national-parks-international/barbados-1/431290/ "WHAT WE DID: Helicopter trip - Bajan Helicopters will swish you all around the island taking in some stunning just-above-the-waves flying along the rugged east coast for about £40. Seeing that I'd got my camcorder handy, the pilot let me take the other front seat " http://www.trivago.co.uk/bridgetown-81825/walking--sightseeing-tour/bajan-helicopters-tour-141166/review-o19605 http://www.tripadvisor.in/ShowTopic-g147262-i230-k1891002-o10-Helicopter_trip-Barbados.html
Aplmac Posted November 15, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 15, 2008 The Bajan Helicopters base is a walkable mile from the Port -on the way into Bridgetown It's right on the water, near a big car-park -to your right as you're headed towards the shopping center with all the other cruisers who'll be heading in that general direction. It's behind some big ole warehouse-type buildings (now smartly painted and used for offices and shops) As you walk, you might see their choppers taking off or coming in.. that'll help you locate where they are. Not difficult to find and you should see signs.
Megnolia Posted November 22, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted November 22, 2008 hi aplmac! Thanks for the reply. I have actually booked with Horizon Helicopters located at the airport. They offer tours for two people, whereas Bajan requires at least 4. Horizon also includes entry to the Concorde Experience, so it's a win-win for me! :)
