Miserable weather????

We are going on AOS 11/23. I have been checking the weather on al the islands and all I see is scattered showers every single day for the next 9 days. Is anyone else extremely frustrated at how horrible it's been? :( :(:(:(

We're just back from the Grandeur repo. We missed Grand Cayman due to the hurricane but the captain did a great job of keeping us in pretty calm waters and sunshine. We visited Cozumel instead. Many were disappointed but you have to give RCCL credit for keeping us all safe. Many times we have checked the 10 day weather forcast prior to a cruise and thought we would have nothing but rain but the weather was beautiful the entire time. Scattered showers are just that! You might never see them -- you only visit one part of the island.

I'm on that same sailing. Don't worry about the weather. Everyday of the year its scattered showers and/or partly cloudy. Tropical islands are that way. We should be OK.

Don't worry, there's always scattered showers in the forecast for the Caribbean. With the exception of a hurricane/tropical storm, the weather is beautiful down there.

they just leave that forecast up permanently as it is practically that way 365. don't worry and just enjoy. It is still hurricane season for another two weeks.

In the tropics, it can rain anytime---that's what makes it "tropical"! Don't worry! Showers don't last forever and they may not happen at all. Wherever there is heat and humidity (the tropics) and mountains (the islands, except Aruba!) there can and may be rain showers.

You should still have PLENTY of sunshine and nice weather, assuming no big storm system is sitting over you!

Imagine that, showers in the TROPICS! Why do you think it is a tropical island, and how do you think it got so beautiful? Just like Hawaii, it rains in the tropics. Have a good time and stop looking at the weather.;)

When I did the southern caribbean last spring I got the same forecast and it had me worried. A veteran cruiser told me not to worry and she was right. I don't think we got any rain the whole trip:)

I've been to the islands many times where there was no rain at all so the forecast did scare me. Thanks for the reassurance though:)

The only cruise I've had where rain was an issue was the one where there was no rain in the forecast. The rest of my cruises have had rain in the forecast and the most we had was a shower here or there - and that includes Alaska.

Go snorkleing or diving. It won't matter if there is a shower. You'll be wet anyway! :p
