Elation 6D - 4 in a room = 4 beds???

We're booked on the Elation (4/3/2005) in a 6D garranty (OV - Empress deck - no room selection).

By looking at the Empress deck plan on the CCL website, it appears as though there are only 12 OV cabins (6D) with two uppers. What will CCL do if these 12 cabins are filled before we are assigned a room? Will they put us into a room with only three beds? Bring in a roll-away? or upgrade?

By booking a gauarantee on that class of ship you do stand a chance of getting a cabin with 3 beds and a rollaway. If you want 4 beds change your gaurantee to a set cabin.

Is that week part of spring break? or just missing it

I agree with you. We sailed on the Inspiration and Elation with 4 people in an assigned room so we were sure not to have a rollaway. They really take up alot of space.

We've been in a room with 3 people - 2 beds and 1 rollaway and they do take up a lot of space, especially at night. And, the room stewards tend to want to store the rollway, folded up, in the room during the day which still crowds the room. Go ahead and choose your room rather than chance getting a rollaway. And, you could even choose a 6A-C if there's no availability in 6D. Finally, the only thing you might possibly gain from staying in a 6D GTY is that you could, but probably won't, be upgraded to a suite. I wouldn't count on that upgrade and would go with a room with 4 beds in it. 4 beds are nice too because everyone gets their own "spot" in the room and can take a nap, rest, watch TV, etc. With a foldaway, one person doesn't have their own place during the day.
