Hippygirl23 Posted November 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2008 Hi there, not sure what to do or which beach to try in grand cayman, somewhere along 7 mile we are thinking...how was royal palms? Are there lounge chairs and was it crowded? Also, is the beach there sandy or rocky? Thanks so much!
bookbabe Posted November 17, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2008 Lounge chair rentals are available, and the beach is sandy. Crowd levels depend on how many cruise ships are in port. My husband was there late this afternoon, for example, and the place was deserted. Go when 6+ cruise ships are in, and there will be a lot more people...but most areas of Seven Mile Beach are that way when there's lots of cruise ships in port... ;)
aquagirl1 Posted November 20, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 20, 2008 Hi Hippie girl-I'm on the same cruise as you-notice an excursion for 26pp to seven mile beach that gave chairs and a palapa and one drink. I'm sure taking a cab would be cheaper. From what friends have told me it was the highlight of their trip-so I am also going to try to get more info on the best way to get there. Look forward to meeting you and your aunt-I'm travelling with my mother. 58days-lol! Does anyone out there know how much a cab ride would be? bookbabe Posted November 20, 2008 #4 Share Posted November 20, 2008 Does anyone out there know how much a cab ride would be? To Royal Palms from the cruise terminal? About $4 US per person each way.
jean-lynd Posted November 21, 2008 #5 Share Posted November 21, 2008 Their website is http://www.reefgrill.com. You can check out their webcams to see what the beach is like. I hope this helps! Enjoy!
