Freedom's gym - is it that small?

I was just getting ready to book the Freedom and read that the gym was very crowded and small.

 

My party all work out daily and would hate this.

 

Is this problem as serious as I've read?

All of the ships gyms are small, relative to the number of people on board. And they can be crowded. Especially in the mornings. It just depends on the health nut/couch potato ratio on your particular sailing..

Been on Freedom once at Easter which was full occupancy and never had a problem getting an eliptical which is sometimes hard to find available. I worked out 5 of the 7 days too. It wasn't any smaller than any of the newer Carnival ship's gyms or a newer Celebrity ship I have been on.

Most of the ship that I've been on, the gym size was virtually the same for all of them.
