mom2mc Posted November 23, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2008 We are leaving on our first cruise, RCI's Monarch, in 22 days and we are traveling with our 11 month old. Do they provide juice, sheets for the pack and play, and should I bring food, or do they have enough options for her to eat in the dinning room? Any suggestions on what to take or leave home would be appreciated.
cb at sea Posted November 24, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 24, 2008 If she's eating table food (pureed or otherwise) at home, then there will be plenty for her to eat on the ship! If she is still doing babyfood, you need to bring that...there is none onboard. Diapers...bring enough! Wipes, ditto....they don't sell anything specific to babies! They do have juice and milk, so you won't need to bring any of that.
mcfam5 Posted November 24, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 24, 2008 I would suggest to take some infant tylenol for unexpected needs, few small toys to play with in the room and at dinner, disposable bibs and sippy cups if you are using those yet. I'll post back if I come up with any thing else! Enjoy yourself, you are going to love cruising as a family vacation!

From what I understand, they do provide sheets for the pack and play, but I'm packing her blanket since it is a familiar smell. I'm bringing her own baby food, but she's not on full table foods yet, so that may be different from your circumstances.
reedstephstuff Posted November 24, 2008 #5 Share Posted November 24, 2008 Just got back from Carnival Glory w/ 2 yr old & 5 yr old... based on the quality and variety of juice on our ship: bring your own! My 5 yr old wouldn't even drink the Lemonade. Neither boy would drink the Apple Juice. Beyond that, there wasn't much of an assortment. Definitely bring diapers & wipes, baby food, finger foods, etc. If you need it at home, don't assume they'll have it on ship! Well, at least not what you're comfortable with... this is on Carnival though. Not sure about RCI. Best of luck!
reedstephstuff Posted November 24, 2008 #6 Share Posted November 24, 2008 Absolutely bring Tylenol/ Motrin... my oldest suffers from allergies and unexpected fevers. Of coarse, his first struck within 24 hours of being on ship. Last thing you want is to have to go to the infirmary and risk quarrantine!
