Independence CDC Inspection

With the Independence sailing out of the US for a few months, does anyone know if or when the CDC will do the sanitation inspection? Is this a one day job while in port, or do the inspector(s) stay a week on the ship? It would be interesting to see what the score is for the latest addition to the line.

Most likely it was already done the day they arrived. RCCL ships seem to always score very high marks and I don't expect Independence would be any different.

There is no inspection report on the CDC website yet, but both Freedom and Liberty scored the maximum of 100 on their last inspections in August. I would imagine that Independence would do the same or very close.

CDC was on the ship and in the Windjammer at 630 AM the day it came into port. I overheard one inspector call them out for having whipped butter under a heat lamp:eek:.

Glad the inspection took place. I'm sure it will take CDC less time to post the results than C&A to post past cruise history.

Whipped butter and heat lamps?!? Sure it was the Windjammer and not the spa?
