Plant Posted November 26, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 26, 2008 No, travel irons are not allowed. They're a fire hazard, not just because someone might leave one on, but because of the electricity they use. There will be laundry rooms with irons and boards available. You can bring a steamer and/or Downy Wrinkle Release. The Wrinkle Release should take care of almost any wrinkles! Once you get aboard ironing won't seem so important to you :D! cb at sea Posted November 26, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 26, 2008 Wht cruiseline? That may affect the answer! Not all ships have irons for the passengers--some require you to send your stuff for pressing--at an additional fee.
tamaram26 Posted November 26, 2008 #4 Share Posted November 26, 2008 I'm pretty sure none of the major cruise lines allow a travel iron. I bring my hair straightener which can also be used as a little iron. Doesn't get the clothes perfect, but it gets the job done!

Yup - in combination with Downy Wrinkle Release, you can have a pretty good crease in your khakis!!!
