davekathy Posted December 6, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2008 We’ve sailed out of San Juan before but have never been there as a Port Day. Well for this Cruise it’s an evening Port. We do not plan on leaving the Explorer until after diner. We have Early Traditional. So that only gives us a few hours to explore San Juan. We are looking for suggestions/recommendations for something close to do? Shopping, place to have a good local (knock you out of your socks) drink? RayInPR Posted December 6, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 6, 2008 Depending on your night in port, you'll have different options ... Flamenco shows, Salsa lessons, ... even belly dancing! Check our travel guide for a list of things to do in the evening. You can get free rum drinks at Don Q just across the street from the cruise ship piers. Hope this helps! orquidia Posted December 7, 2008 #3 Share Posted December 7, 2008 you can go to Caña bar located in Hotel El Convento, they have a wide variety of puerto rican rums, highly recommended.
rainforestgirl Posted December 7, 2008 #4 Share Posted December 7, 2008 Roughly, what time do you think you will be done with dinner and off the ship? 9Pm or earlier? Also, what type of atmosphere do you like- Senor Frogs loud crowd or intimate?
