Ruby - question re boarding

They generally admit people to an inside waiting area as early as 10 - 10:30 AM. There is a seperate area for "Preferred Levels"; and then a general waiting area. They usually start the actual boarding of the ship between 11:30 and 12:00 depending upon how fast disembarkation was completed.

I was just on Ruby and the embarkation was very efficient. At about 10:30, they started allowing passengers into a waiting area with seats. Each passenger was given a card with a number on it. At approximately 11:00, they began calling the numbers and that group of people was allowed to check in. The check in desks were arranged by deck. Thus, passengers with cabins on Dolphin deck went to the desks marked Dolphin. It took only a few minutes until one was on the ship.
