donoiv Posted December 13, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2008 I will be on the Voyager March... we are stopping in Cozumel on March 10th. According to cruisett.com, there are only two ships in town that day (Voyager and Carnival Fantasy). With the small load that day, it is possible (probable) that the ship will dock at Punta Langosta instead of International Pier? I have only taken Princess into Cozumel and have only docked at Punta Langosta in the past... a lot closer to town than International. Any thoughts? Driftwoodgal Posted December 13, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2008 This is a guess on my part, but even when we have been the only ship in Cozumel we docked at the pier closest to Paradise Beach. The only time we came in downtown was when we tendered after the hurricane.
firefly333 Posted December 13, 2008 #3 Share Posted December 13, 2008 Im guessing that RCL has locked in space at the pier 3 miles out from town, so even if there is only one other ship, it would still dock at the same pier as usual. We did last spring on Voyager and the year before on Rhapsody.
pboedeker Posted December 13, 2008 #4 Share Posted December 13, 2008 Usually: Carnival (and other Carnival owned ships) dock at Puerto Maya - furthest from town, closest to beaches. This pier was severely damaged during Wilma and has only recently reopened! Royal and Celebrity dock at the International Pier - located next door to Puerto Maya on the town side. All others + overflow at Puerto Langosta (Carlos and Charlies) downtown pier.
