tamtam28 Posted April 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2004 If 2 people in the same cabin are C&A members, do you each get a coupon book, or is it one per cabin? DMorris Posted April 20, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 20, 2004 You will each have your own C&A membership number, which will allow each of you to receive the magazine with the coupons. But the coupons are per cabin, not per person. Cruise Miriam Posted April 20, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 20, 2004 Has this policy changed? In Nov. on the Adventure, I was at one level and my friend a lower level. We each received coupon books corresponding to our C&A membership level. Host Miriam Community Supervisor ldrscruisemir7@aol.com
MoCruiser Posted April 20, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2004 I checked with the C&A folks and each C&A member will receive a coupon book once they get on the ship. The cruise discount coupons that are in the C&A magazine can only be used once per cabin. caribbeancats Posted April 20, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 20, 2004 DW & myself each received a coupon book on Serenade in Jan. Does anyone know if you hold the coupons over to use on another cruise? We did not use all of them.
DMorris Posted April 20, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 20, 2004 Each person will get a magazine with coupons, but the coupons say discount per cabin, not per person. MoCruiser Posted April 20, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 20, 2004 I think we are talking about two different things here. C&A members get a magazine at home that has coupons for future trips. Those coupons you can only use once per cabin, not per person. When you get on the ship each C&A member will receive a coupon book that includes discounts for drinks, free play in the casino, etc. Hope this helps clear things up. Chris Brook Posted April 20, 2004 #10 Share Posted April 20, 2004 I'm sure this is answered someone on this site, but I can't seem to phrase the query to get. How does one get a C&A membership?
Tybug Posted April 20, 2004 #11 Share Posted April 20, 2004 You have to have sailed Royal Caribbean previously. Then you can either apply on board or on the www.royalcaribbean.com website. --Tybug-- 10-01 Imagination 02-02 Sovereign of the Seas 10-02 Inspiration 01-03 Majesty of the Seas 04-03 Inspiration 10-03 NCL Dawn 02-04 Rhapsody of the Seas 05-04 Majesty of the Seas 10-04 Mariner of the Seas
aqusis Posted April 20, 2004 #12 Share Posted April 20, 2004 If you have already completed your first cruise with Royal Caribbean you can sign up for the Crown & Anchor Society on RCI's web site. If you haven't taken your first RCI cruise yet, you can sign up on board with the loyalty ambassador-you just won't get the onboard coupon book until you cruise a 2nd time. dianfarmer Posted April 20, 2004 #13 Share Posted April 20, 2004 I was wondering the same thing as above. We went on a cruise in March and are going again in June. We have a coupon left over from our previous coupon book and saved it to use on the next one. It states on the coupon that it has to be used for that sailing only but how would they know or do they even check. There is no name on the coupon as far as which ship you are on
jkrislc Posted April 20, 2004 #14 Share Posted April 20, 2004 You shouldn't have any problems using the coupons on a future cruise as they do not change the coupons all that often. We even gave some of our coupons to our friends who sailed a month after us. We were also given the wrong coupons, and no one checked to verify our C&A level. They even let my brother use one of my coupons and he isn't even a C&A member as it was his first cruise. tamtam28 Posted April 20, 2004 Author #15 Share Posted April 20, 2004 Since you guys have been so great in answering my original question, Thank-YOU! But I have one more: How good are the coupons? Are they for products and services you would have used and/or purchased anyway? Or are the like 10% off a spa service you would never have used anyway? Anyone have any coupon examples? Thanks! aqusis Posted April 20, 2004 #16 Share Posted April 20, 2004 There is usually a 2/1 drink coupon, a match play for the casino, a discount off spa service, one for photos, free wine tasting and a free visit to JR on the voyager class ships...the higher level of C&A member you are the better the coupons but even at Gold they are good-especially since they are free! Cruise Miriam Posted April 20, 2004 #17 Share Posted April 20, 2004 There's also one for the logo store, but you need to watch yourself there -- some items are not included or you can get them at a better price later in the week. Not always, just sometimes. Host Miriam Community Supervisor ldrscruisemir7@aol.com
jkrislc Posted April 20, 2004 #18 Share Posted April 20, 2004 Most of the others have mentioned the typical coupons: 5% off a logo item (can't be on sale), 2-for-1 drink coupon, free stock photo with purchase of a photo, match play in the casino. Even if you don't gamble, turn in your $12 for $10 coupon at the cashier and they'll give you $2 cash. Better than nothing and it's up to you if you want to gamble with it or not.
