7 mile beach, Lone Star vs Royal Palms/Reef Club

Well, Lone Star isn't on the beach, it's across the road from the beach, so that might be a problem with it meeting your criteria. :D

Between Lone Star and Royal Palms (Reef Grill) you're going to be better off with Royal Palms.

Go halfway between the hotels.

Which hotels? Neither of the places the OP mentioned are hotels.

Lone Star is a tex-mex restaurant across the street from Seven Mile Beach.

Royal Palms is a restaurant on the beach, with restrooms, showers, chair/umbrella rentals, watersports rentals, etc.

chasphoto - the Reef Grill offers everything that you list. Their website is http://www.reefgrill.com and they have webcams so you can see what it is like.

lcalle - I wouldn't consider it to be walking distance. Cab should be $4 or $5/person and you can also take the bus for $2.50/person.

I hope this helps!

Enjoy!

we spent a couple of hours at Royal Palms and enjoyed our time there. The reef grill is a good restaurant. They make things from scratch there! At least it seemed like it! The beach is nice there and you can walk forever it seems! They have large clean bathrooms and 2 shower areas where you can rinse off. They have lockers there to rent, kayaks, waverunners, etc to rent if you'd like to.
