Just spent the week on the Independence of the Seas. Had lots of fun, weather was not so good, but there's no such thing as a bad cruise.

 

How to save money? make sure to cash in those casino tickets. Mom found one yesterday in her purse for $205. LOL she calls it her donation to the cruise club... thats what happens when your having too much fun, and no way to get it back..

I noticed in your signature line that you did a 60th Anniversary for your parents. That's wonderful. We did one for my in law's 50th in 2000 and are considering one for their 60th in 2010.

NEVER leave the casino with anything except cash!!! Everytime you're in there, cash out before you leave....that way, you'll never make a "donation" to the ship!

its a little funny...this happens more than I would think...there was a thread like this on anothe rboard where people had hundreds of $'s in casino tix left uncashed...I dont gamble much and usually not at all but if I did I am pretty sure I would be sure to get the $:)or what was left

So, my Dad called the cruise line, and they said if you take another cruise within 90 days, they would refund the casino cashiers slip. What a relief, and I can't think of a better reason for another cruise.

 

Mom and Pop will be going on a birthday cruise late feb..

She try on the SF meters, but they rejected the coins, so now she has to go on a Princess cruise again, Oh such agony!!
