Has anyone heard anything more as to what updates are being done in drydock? When is the ship scheduled to sail again?

According to the Princess web site the next sailing is Dec. 21.

There was another thread about this and no one knows why she was going into dry dock for two weeks but she should be hitting water again soon because she is scheduled to sail this Sunday, December 21st. She's at the shipyard in Freeport, Bahamas.

I'm sailing on her January 4, 2009. Can't wait! Whatever they've done I'm sure its not to the pax areas considering she's a new ship in their fleet. Rumors have it that it might be something with the ship's stabilizers but that is just gossip at this point!

Happy Sailings! :)

That is a long time for a ship in drydock.

They can get so much done in that period of time.

A long time? I always thought the drydocks were longer.

Amazing though, I never heard of a ship taking longer for a drydock.

Looking forward to hearing those reviews of those who sail this Sunday.

There were a couple of issues noted in the CDC VSP that were listed as having to be corrected during dry dock. I was surprised that she only scored a 95 on the last inspection, as she is a relatively new ship. Most of the newer ships score in the high 90s or even 100.

Taking a passenger ship out of service for 2 weeks is really unheard of unless there is major engine/machine work to be done such as the CB. :)
