That makes sense - I don't know why I didn't think about spring break for the college kids. I found this site that lists every college's spring break in 2009. Quite a few schools are on break during the week of 3/1, but many more are on break during the 3/8 and 3/15. weeks I also checked Google for any group cruises but couldn't find any. Oh well, I guess we could go on the 3/8 sailing. Crazy4Cruising - did you enjoy that itinerary?

We enjoyed our January cruise on Voyager so much last year that we did a follow-up one in March. It was spring break for some. We had four TX A&M coeds (21,21, 21, 20) at our table. I thought it was grand, DW not so much.:) If you get my drift.;)

Note to all...I did hear back from the CL tonight...he is alive and well. In fact he is working out our Portifino rez so that makes us very happy.

Always fun to email folks at sea.

Rancher Dave, can you send me the email address of the concierge? Thanks!

I love Grand Cayman. not been to Montego Bay, but didn't care for Ochoa Rios, so we decided to pass on Jamiaca. IF memory serves me right, the 8th was cheaper way back when we booked and so $ won out, along with new ports

Thanks for the answer on dining times. That was the first time I've seen dining times switched and just eating at 8 rather than 8:30 was a nice way to extend the night. I feel for the early diners but am happy for myself - selfish wench that I am. ;)

me too;)

Well, if at a table for six I can see where she may be upset. Did you inveite them to check out your agriculture exhibit in Central Texas? I would have...even with DW there. It has always been funny to me that most folks raising Longhorn Cattle are Aggies....not I though...nor John who owns Bevo, who has a registered name other than BEVO.

I want to go on Feb 1st...just need to find someone to go with me...DW is now all afraid of letting me go alone. One of the folks I would pick would never fly with DW...probably not with that person's boss either but that is a whole different issue.

Thanks y'all!!! Martin is on for several more weeks. If you need something dining related be sure to ask Martin and/or see Joe in the dining room on embarkation day...he is great.

Yes it was a six top. I also should have added 'very attractive' in the description. Great table location on middle floor facing the chandelier. I had a lot to look at during dinners!;)

I'm surprised you even noticed the chandelier. ;)

Cheryl - the casino now has a 3% surcharge on cash withdrawals. The amount per day is limited to $2000. I don't know about the pursers. They do have hairdryers in the cabins. They are usually in the desk drawer. According to many posters, internet access can be spotty depending on your location.

Is Martin on through the April 12th sailing? We enjoyed his services last year and were hoping he would still be onboard this time.

when does he rotate off?

Thanks guys. We also will be on the Voyager 2/1/09 and we will have the pleasure of hanging out with Martin.

Does anyone know if I can get a Sea Breeze (drink) in the CL?

what's in it? vodka & cranberry juice? or grapefruit juice? should have the vodka & I know they have had cranberry juice before. the one time I was on a ship that did not have an overflow with bartenders, we made our own drinks

There were no ballroom dance lessons last week, although there was a ballroom dance trio in Cleopatra's Needle most nights. There was 1 salsa lesson on the second last day, but no salsa music that night or the next to use it on.

Based on his feedback a few minutes ago, it looks like he will be aboard until they get to Spain. I didn't ask if that was so he could enjoy time in Spain...I know of another crew member who will work until in Europe so he could get off and have his air home delayed a month so he can spend time in Europe.

thanks Dave. hoping we have a better experience with him this time & then when we do the 09 TA back to Galveston.

BTW Dave, did you see Derek? & if so, how was his show?

Is there a C& A Welcome Back party on Voyager? Thanks !

they have 2--1 for ALL C&A members & then 1 for Platinum/Diamond/D+
