Thanks Snooze, I enjoyed it as always. sorry about the crummy weather but at least you'll be back at sea in less than 3 weeks. I guess that takes the sting out a little bit. ;) Welcome to Diamond Status. Were they still using the small room on Deck 14 for evening cocktails?

Great review, from your information, I was finally able to decide on when I wanted to go to Portofino's.....so thanks! I look forward to your review of the remodeled Fantasy as my friend is bringing her family in May. I will pass your blog on to her.

Take Care and Happy Cruisin'

I don't have time to write a full review of our cruise this past week but I wanted to come back and just let you know that we had a WONDERFUL TIME (and you will, too).

The ship looked really great. I did see some wear and tear but it was totally expected with the traffic. I enjoyed being on the ship and only got off the ship in Grand Cayman...we took a cab for $12 round trip per person to the beach.

Eric, the cruise director, and Tracy, the activities manager are VERY entertaining. They have a Regis and Kelly type show playing on the tv each morning. They are great together. Eric is funny and quick and she is cute and silly so they compliment each other well.

One of my favorite things that we did on the ship is a Q & A session with Eric (nerd, aren't I :)). He answered questions for and hour and a half. It was extremely interesting and I learned lots of new things. Make this a priority if you are on the ship.

We, of course, were treated like royalty from our cabin steward (Vincent), waiter (Roman) and assistant waiter (Venkat).

I did notice a few changes most I had read here and one I didn't...staying in your room until departure time (big thumbs up), $4.95 at Johnny Rockets (no big deal-only $1 more), no cash back on leftover OBC (so not a problem :D). What I had not read around here...there are no more Smart Casual nights in the Main Dining Room (it was all casual for us) and Friday night, laying on our bed, was a sheet saying that they would be pulling all of the candy out of the room refrigerator on Saturday evening to make room for candy packaged in a different way. I'm thinking something like candy packaged with RC logo or something but I'm not sure.

I hope all of your enjoy your time on Voyager as much as we did. I'll be happy to answer any questions that you have.

On a side note, CruiseLoverandAgent (Erica)...I'm glad I was able to find you and say hi to you. Don't you just want to hop on that ship each Sunday :)? Being that close is such a temptation.

FYI - According to C&A, you can switch to MTD beginning 2/1/09 for cruise beyond that date. I cannot handle a 5:30pm dinner time :)

We are booked on the VOS' 2/8/09 sailing and have not received anything to indicate that MTD will be available.

Just got off Voyager yesterday morning, and I'll be posting a full review sometime in the next week or so.

Food was fantastic. Our waiters, Eduardo from Peru and Anthony from India, were excellent.

I really enjoyed Eric's humor. I haven't laughed as much in a long time as I did last week, usually because of something said or done by Eric and Tracy.

The ship is in GREAT condition. Don't let previous comments about wear and tear dissuade you. There were always crew members working on polishing, cleaning, etc. Everything looked great. The only part of the ship that looks outdated to me is the casino.

My wife and I had a fantastic time, and I'll get into a lot more detail when I have time to write the review. In short, RC Voyager of the Seas is a really great way to spend a week!

We will be on Voyager 3/29 and can't wait. We've heard so much about Eric and were really looking forward to his humor. Like other cruisers, we've had our share of boring and not so boring CD's. However, I just read on our roll call that Eric won't be our CD. The CD will be Mercedes de la Fuente, does anyone have any informartion on her? Thanks in advance.

Follow the link in my signature to look at the Voyager compasses with dinner times.

Wow, You are really something to post all those compasses! This will be our first RCI cruise and I was wondering how the show schedule would fit in with our late dining! Now I know. Thanks for the info!

Just remember...those Compass pages were from our Christmas cruise and some of the dining information was different than a regular week!
