Okay, I know its Christmas eve and I should be roasting chestnuts around an open fire and all but.... all I can think about is the cruise we're going on next week!!!! :D :D :D The kids have happily gone to bed in anticipation of Santa and hubby is doing his last minute gift wrapping so I'd thought I'd post about what I'm so excited about next week and wonder if it matches up with all of ya'll. Then maybe I'll get back to decorating those sugar cookies for santa!

Here goes:

1) The first drink handed to me by the Lido deck waiter

2) sittin in hot tub watched land go bye bye and all the people partying with drink in (my) hand

3) my first balcony this cruise (yay!) so i'll be having coffee first thing in the morning on the balcony

4) the water balloon wars with my kids

5) the way you get waited on in the dining room

6) the yummy french toast at the breakfast buffet

7) snorkelling and the crystal clear waters

8) comedy shows

9) the ocean rocking me to sleep

10) watching movies in the hot tub, with a drink in hand

So I'm curious what your top 10 is. Maybe I'll broaden my horizon or something?

I agree. With all of the hustle and bustle in today's world I feel very blessed that we can have a vacation with our children. My list may be boring to some folks, but here it goes:

1. Relaxing

2. Relaxing

3. Relaxing

4. Relaxing

5. Relaxing

6. Relaxing

7. Relaxing

8. Relaxing

9. Relaxing

and finally.....

10. Relaxing

After that, it's back to reality, making my own bed, cooking my own food, cleaning my own room, etc.....:(

I just want the girls to go to bed so that Santa can come and I can go to bed too. I am so enjoying the spirit but that wonderful Feb cruise is right there sitting at the back of my brain ready to POP OUT as soon as Xmas is done. What I am looking forward to most is:

- the next 5 weeks of anticipation

- 7 days with hubby and nobody calling "mom, dad"

- meeting our friends in San Juan for a night of hotel fun before we all board

- meeting my new CC friends

- sail away

- watching the partiers come to muster (always a hoot)

- coffee, rolls and BACON (it's a treat) on the balcony

- sitting at a slot machine for however long I want to

- Being away from the snow and cold

MERRY CHRISTMAS, Kaboochi

On my next cruise, March 22, I look forward to:

1. That first sight of the Conquest's beautiful red, white, & blue Carnival "tail" as we approach the terminal. Makes me all tingly just thinking of that! LOL!

2. Eating that first meal of fish & chips at Sur Mer

3. Watching the dolphins play in Galveston Harbor

4. Sailaway

5. My first frozen yogurt cone of MANY that week :)

6. Excursions at all 3 ports, which I have done before, but it will be the first time for my friend, so it will be fun all over again

7. The peaceful sight and sound of the Caribbean as we sail along

8. The shows (I've seen em all, but still love them!)

9. Supper Club

10. Strawberry cheesecake and a caramel latte at the coffee shop

Uh, I could go on! LOL!

3. Seafood bisque, lobster, pizza, calzones, etc.!

4. That first Miami Vice on the Lido deck while we're sailing away!

5. Clear blue water and fresh sea air!

6. Towel animals and chocolate on pillows! :)

7. Sharing our cruise experience with my boyfriend (it's his first)!

8. No work or school for a week!

9. Enjoying the entertainment of the stage shows and passenger participation games!

10. Visiting the ports in another country!

Like most of you, my number one thought is that someone else will be cleaning up, not me!

Also...

Spending time with DH

Not having any particular schedule

Dinner in the dining room

Sitting on deck having an ice cream or a drink

Going to the show after dinner

Napping without the telephone ringing

Seeing what New Year's eve is like at sea

The feeling of freedom from responsibility

Soon... very soon. I started packing today:)
