potchak Posted November 11, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2004 How can you tell if a cruise is selling well? My cruise, Grand Princess Jan 29, 2005 out of Galveston, looks to have quite a few cabins left, but it is hard to tell. We are within the 90 day window now, but I don't know if that is a slower time to cruise cause it is just after the holidays. I read somewhere that the best deals show up within 60 days of sailing date, but does princess have a tendency to discount further than it is now ($549 in, $649 os)? I am just wondering what are the chances of getting an upgrade or onboard credits if the price goes down. I personally would love an upgrade and credits, but I won't be picky. We are currently in the top most(I think) inside cabin category (II). Any thoughts are appreciated.
serene56 Posted November 18, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 18, 2004 By checking any online agency for your sailing--if you see 7-9 cabins they have lots of cabins available. If you are seeing less then 7 cabins in any category then the ship is doing VERY weel. You will have to change the number of people from 2-3 and 4 people each time. I would do that after final payment is due as a lot of people cancel without penalty at that time. Wait about 5-10 days after taht and see whats ahppening.
