Sunny AZ Girl Posted February 21, 2009 #26 Share Posted February 21, 2009 Thanks - someone else had just suggested men's sandals to me. I wonder why that never entered my head.....probably my pride, LOL!:p
NEWPORT COAST CRUISER Posted November 15, 2013 #27 Share Posted November 15, 2013 Does anyone know of a spa/hotel that allows one to purchase a day pass in Roseau?
kands6191 Posted November 25, 2013 #28 Share Posted November 25, 2013 We have been to Granada several times. The last time we went with Mandoo in Grenada. It was the best tour we have done there. He is very professional, new vans and buses. He is very highly regarded on the Island. I couldn't agree more. We lucked out and got in on a tour with him through a group on our roll call. Honestly, we could have just ridden around on the bus all day and listened to him talk. We are very interested in government, politics, economics and history. He knows so much about the Caribbean and Grenada. One person asked him why there were so many Chinese grocery stores on Grenada and that began the whole discussion. He is involved in the politics on the island. He lectures on history at the schools and promotes tourism as well. After Hurricane Ivan caused massive destruction, many of the youth chose to abandon the island (he showed us many empty homes) in search of better opportunity. He has been working to change their minds and promote tourism as a way for Grenada to thrive. He is way more to Grenada than just a tour guide and we felt extremely lucky to have had such a highly regarded, knowledgeable host share his love of his island with us. We've known Mandoo for years, have taken multiple trips with him, including his Seven Sisters hike, my favorite. We enjoy listening to him, too, and admire his perspectives and his work on the island.
NCTribeFan Posted November 26, 2013 #30 Share Posted November 26, 2013 Levi recommends some sort of water shoe/sandal right on the website. Just back from my 2nd tour with him. He's great. Had him as drive both times. Once again, his tour was the highlight of my cruise (and I had a great itinerary both times).
