Iron Chef cooked Stingrays, Yuck

If you ever see "Skate Wing" or just "Skate" on a menu, that is stingray. Basically, the only part you eat from a stingray is the wings. I have never tried it, but some of the restaurants I service sell it like crazy when they put it on special.

After our upcoming Grand Cayman excursion to swim with the Stingrays, I doubt I will ever try it. Too much of an animal lover, especially after I get to meet a few. ;)

Skate is served fried in England quite frequently and I've seen them whole...they don't LOOK like stingrays. Just flat fish.

Hmm. Maybe different in other countries.

It was very yummy.

:)

I do agree though, I don't want to eat Flipper, Bambi or the Stingrays I will be petting in GC.
