ellikitten Posted November 11, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2004 Hello, Just wondering if anyone knows how much the corkage fee is on RCCL. I can't seem to find that info anywhere. I know the general range is $5 - $15, but it would help to know the exact price, so that I can figure out how much I want to spend on the wine I'm bringing! Thanks! ~elli

erin_cruisers Posted November 11, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 11, 2004 Back in May on our 11 day GOS trip, we took a half dozen bottles of "Maggies" home-made red wine with us. On each day we wanted our wine with dinner we left the bottle with a sticky note on it in our room, and our stateroom attendant delivered it to our waiter. On the first few nights he mentionned that he would have to charge us a corkage fee (of $12.00), but after that, he "forgot" to charge us. Needless to say, we looked after both our stateroom attendant and waiters VERY well! We found our restaurant waitstaff, and stateroom attendants all worked VERY hard!, went out of there way to make us feel like royalty!
ellikitten Posted November 12, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted November 12, 2004 Thanks everyone! That's a great tip to leave the bottle in your room with a note for the steward, Erin. I was just thinking of bringing it down with me, but it would be nicer if it was waiting there. Thanks again! ~elli
Ryanne Posted November 12, 2004 #6 Share Posted November 12, 2004 I called RCCL about bringing wine on board. I was told the corkage fee for my 12/04 cruise would be $12 and that each person could bring two bottles if they were not not offered on the ship's wine list. ellikitten Posted November 12, 2004 Author #8 Share Posted November 12, 2004 Hi Riotgrl, This is the link to RCCL's "wine cellar" on their site. The page is for ordering prior to boarding, but I think this is the extent of what they have onboard as well. Hope this helps! ~elli
