Believe me -- the Martha Vineyard salad served at the Grand Concourse looks nothing like whatever is in that bowl in the picture.

We went out to one of our favorite casual places for dinner tonight and after all the talk about caesar salad, I ordered one with dinner. :D Had a nice dinner and now we're waiting for more snow to arrive. Predicted to get anywhere from 6 to 12". Been a White Winter in New England.

By the way, it is not CAESAR salad as in Julius CAESAR of Italy.

It is instead CESAR salad as in CESAR Cardini, the man who invented the salad in his restaurant in Tijuana Mexico in the 1920s.

Well, Philip, according to Wikipedia, if Mr Cardini is indeed the inventor of the salad, his name was Caesar....

It's been a brutal winter in Calgary. I don't remember seeing this much snow in Calgary since I was a kid.....and that been a few years:D.

Added that the typical HAL passenger probably has a higher percentage than the general population to be taking Coumadin/warfarin. They shouldn't be eating spinach at all.

 

As someone who has been on Coumadin therapy for many years and will be for the remainder of my life, I can tell you that that is a 100% incorrect statement.

Dose the diet don't diet the dose.

 

I was on it for a very short time (2 1/2 months post op) but learned quickly.

To say HAL should not serve spinach because a number of guests may be anti-coagulated is "silly"...... for lack of using another word.
