EI83 Posted January 4, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2009 Does CCL allow you to bring some bottled water & soda on board? We were thinking of bringing a cooler filled with drinks.
SouthernCaribbean Posted January 4, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2009 http://www.carnival.com/CMS/FAQs/Liquor_and_Beverage_Consumption_Policy.aspx Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages onboard. However, guests 21 years of age and older only may bring one bottle (750ml) of wine or champagne, per person, on board only during embarkation at the beginning of the cruise. A $10 corkage fee per bottle will be charged should you wish to consume this wine in the main dining room; $14 corkage fee per bottle in the Supper Club. Guests may bring a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages. All prohibited alcohol, additional quantities of wine/champagne or excessive quantities of non-alcoholic beverages will be confiscated and discarded without compensation. Large cooler restrictions: Carnival Cruise Lines does not allow guests to bring large coolers on board its ships. However for purposes of housing small, personal-sized coolers no larger than 12” x 12” x 12” for the purpose of housing small quantities of non-alcoholic beverages and/or medications are permitted as carry-on luggage. Screening and movement of large coolers through embarkation is an impediment to the boarding and security screening process. Therefore, large coolers are not permitted as carry-on or checked luggage. pauline664 Posted January 6, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 6, 2009 Use a duffel bag or similar. Then when at the end of your cruise you can have a empty bag for the gifts and goodies you bought in ports. We took Pepsi and bottled water for the cabin. In ports we bought sodas and we had a soda card on board for all of us. Just wanted the drinks for quiet time in the cabin. But it gets heavy so beware:D. Rare Essiesmom Posted January 6, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 6, 2009 Water on the ship is perfectly safe to drink, it is sea water procewssed by reverse osmosis, and likely cleaner than your water at home, and maybe the water in those bottles.
