Navigator of the Seas Chops food question

Hi all, we are booked on the Jan 12, 5 night W.C. sailing.

I made our Chops reservations online a few months ago, and now I have heard that the night we reserved is lobster night in the main dining room. I know some of you don't care for RCI's lobster, but we enjoy it. My question is this, is it possible to get a "Surf and Turf" plate in Chops since the MDR is serving lobster that very night? Anyone done this or asked?

BTW- we don't really want to change our reservation to a different night.

I'm afraid not. Chops or Portofino has nothing to do with the Main DR plus they don't serve lobster in either restaurant except Portofinos did have (and I'm not sure it is still on menu) a seafood skewer with a small piece of lobster on it. What you could do is ask your waiter to save a meal for you and after you eat in Chops you can go to your table and grab the lobster and thats if timing works for your dining time.

they offered a lobster bisque in Chops (which was very good).
