Alittle bit of background....This will be our 2nd cruise 1st was on Carnival Miracle 7/12/08. I am getting married on 10/10/10.. We then want to invite all (on their dime) to go on the Oasis on 10/16/10 as a honeymoon. I have a few questions. 1. How do i find a group rate. We have enough people for about 15 - 20 cabins. 2. Does Royal Caribbean still do a group alcohol package. Friends went on Royal Caribbean about 2 years ago and they paid an extra like $100 and got all there drinks included. 3. is there a casino on the ship? and last but not least i know no one has been on the ship yet but is this going to be like every other ship where 99 % of the food is included? I see that there are several different little shops like donuts and ice cream. If any one can help me with anything PLEASE resond or email me at emt9898@yahoo.com.

Contact a trusted TA for your group rates or use RCCL TA directly. From my experience traveling in groups, 8 cabins equals a group. Sounds like you'll have 2 groups. Some TAs handle groups differently.

No alcohol packages except for Wine packages. You'll find info on that on the RCCL website. They do have soda packages. Different rates for children vs adult.

OF COURSE a casino. If you haven't checked it out yet, go to www.oasisoftheseas.com and you'll be able to see how awesome this ship is going to be.

You can go an entire cruise and not spend a dime on any extras (except for tips of course)....I know, I've cruised with some of the CHEAPEST (oops:rolleyes:) people you'll ever meet. I kid you not!!! RCCL has mastered the art of making money from those of us who classify vacation as a VACATION and PLAN to enjoy ourselves by indulging our individual interests. You can count on Ben & Jerry's costing you (or you can get free ice cream/frozen yogurt) on a pool deck somewhere on the ship and usually on the Royal Promenade. You can also count on cover charges for the alternative privite dining venues. ....if that is your interest, you don't blink at paying the extra charge. You really can control just how much money you spend or don't spend.

ENJOY!!! DH and I were married on Megan's Bay in St. Thomas while sailing on Grandeur. I think it is great you'll have people along with the honeymoon. We had a fabulous time but felt it would have been a bit more enjoyable if there were others we know to split up and do different things with.

Oh, with that many people, make sure you have a TA that really knows what she is doing. I find myself always "teaching" my TA because she is so dingy and not an experienced cruiser. In the end, she always gets it right though :D

I thank all of you that have answered my questions..... I have spoke to a few travel agents and most of them just call RC and get prices from them. I could have done that... But i did get good info from ecruises. They got good prices!!! But i do have some more question about the Oct 16,2010 sailing.

1. Do we come into port at all 3 stops or do we tender?

2. In Mexico and Haiti do they take the american dollar

3. Do we know if there will be an outlet in the rooms, or just the bathroom.(Hubby has a breathing machine)

4. I understand that your fare pays for your meals..BUT on this ship there are sooo many different places like a donut shop, candy store icecream shop and so many more. Are they going to be included or are they going to be extra.

I know that these questions might be hard to answer because no one has been on the ship and it is all still so new to us all.

2. In Mexico and Haiti do they take the american dollar Yes.

3. Do we know if there will be an outlet in the rooms, or just the bathroom.(Hubby has a breathing machine) Assume it will be like other ships. There will be an outlet at the "desk" area in the room.

4. I understand that your fare pays for your meals..BUT on this ship there are sooo many different places like a donut shop, candy store icecream shop and so many more. Are they going to be included or are they going to be extra. I think this is an unknown. Probably safe to assume a "mix" with some included, and some additional cost.

I know that these questions might be hard to answer because no one has been on the ship and it is all still so new to us all.

I included what I know in Red text within the quote.

I think PeterPan has answered all your questions as best as any of us can.

In regards to the breathing machine I also use one. It is the reason I pack a multiple outlet plug and a ten foot extension cord with my machine. On one cruise I did forget the extension cord but my cabin steward provided me with a loaner. I have not been on a ship when I didn't need the extension cord to hook it up.

Hi,

I also use a breathing mathine (CPAP) and on my last cruise I was able to get a gal of distilled water for the humidifier part from the cabin stewart (and an extension cord).

RCCL recommends that you call their Access Department (1-800-722-5472) and ask a head of time for the water and extension cord to be provided in your cabin. Ther are very accommodating - although I did have to ask the cabin steward and he was able to take care on those needs quickly. (just to play it safe I usually bring my own 12 ft extension cord and some distilled H2O in a water bottle for the first night).

PS, my DW would probably make me sleep out on the balcony if I didn't bring the life saving and snore eliminating CPAP!

Now all we have to do is wait for the ship to dock.
