Hi, can we use the computers on aos (not the computers used to run the ship, just the ones that are available to people with tickets) to move digital pics from our camera to cds, in case we run out of memory card space? We were hoping to leave our computer at home. thanks.

You can't use the computers in the internet cafe to do it yourself as you don't have access to the drives or USB ports. But you can go to the photo shop and get them to make a CD for a charge.

I bring my laptop all the time...no problem.

However.....with the low cost of memory today, no one should have to tranfer to a CD. Memory is cheap, and you can buy 8 gig memory sticks that hold thousands of photos.

Thanks. Is there as safe or some where I can store it without worrying about it being stolen? Or am I just worrying too much??[/quote]

You said it. Just leave the extra memory cards in the safe. I always just leave them in a drawer or the camera bag. I leave the camera in the safe.

For what you would pay for the ship to make a CD or DVD you can buy a high capacity memory card, on sale.

When I bring my laptop, I store it with clothes, just in case that stateroom attendant leaves the door open as he's cleaning it. I've never had a problem, but if you don't feel comfortable bringing yours, then just bring extra memory cards.
