Casino "club" aboard RCCL ships????

Recommended Posts

Is there the equivalent of the NCL Casino at Seas program within Royal Caribbean? if so how does one pre-join if they can, if not is it something you register for aboard the ship and they monitor your play? Thanks as usual.. i know i'll find what i need to know on here..

There is also a "low roller" club on some ships ... they had a slot point program on the Jewel when I was just on her. You put in your card and earned comp points for play. The payoff and amount of play was ridiculous (300 points for a free drink and I couldn't tell you how much play equaled a point but it was a lot).

I am a Casino VIP member too!:p I have not done but did ask on several Cruise Ships about the 3% charge, I was told Yes you are charged the 3% if you withdraw cash against your seapass!

Have you done it or are you just assuming?

I do know they have an application available through the Casino Royal that you can apply for approved credit ( more less attaching your home based checking/ savings account) and by obtaining cash through the cash with this pre - approved set up, you are not charged the 3%! But then again you are withdrawing YOUR Cash From YOUR account, when getting the cash from the casino!:D

The idea is to play with your Head and Not Over It!:p

LOL...."low roller" club.....:D

Actually, most of the ships now have a slot to put your seapass into....to earn comps....just like at land based casino's.

The points can add up fast...but, you do need to gamble a few $$'s.....$20's a day really won't get anything.

Hint: You earn double points when the casino is open from 9 AM to 11 AM.....:D

That cash back can also be applied to your final payment on your next cruise.....:D

I just ck'd into this for our Nov. cruise (getting pre approved credit) They want a min of $5000.00. Well wonder what happens if you don't take out the full amount or play up to that amt. We belong to CAS NCL and have been comped cabins., but never HAD pre set terms. You can also accumulate points from one ship to another. Does anyone know if RCI has a program like that? If you play steady, but not high stakes do they comp drinks? Thanks, first cruise with RCI am looking foreward to it!

The points you earn on Royal ships are only good for that sailing and must be redeemed by midnight on the last day. Check the rules at the cage for time.

Only comp drinks in the casino are for those who are already Casino Royale VIP's. Now, it is not onheard of for the pit boss to comp some table players but, it is very rare.

  • 4 weeks later...
Was offered my application from the casino mgr. first week of January on the Serenade out of San Juan. How long will it be before I hear something from corporate and receive my card for Casino Royale?

I received my card ( have been a member several years) within 4 weeks after completing the cruise I qualified on.

I have spoke to several VIP members that NEVER received any card! They called Frank from Casino Royal at 1-888-561-2234 to get their current discounts earned for their future cruies.

I just came off the Jewel on Jan 30th and I did ask about VIP's getting the 3% charge for taking money out and was told, it is up to the Casino Manager to waive the fee on Each Cruise, they did waive the fee for me!:):p:rolleyes:

So can I call Frank and ask him about my March cruise I just booked? Would I qualify for $ off the cruise or OBC to use in the casino? I am used to my comps/cash rewards on inland casinos. However this is the first time using ships casinos. I appreciate any advise you may share.

Yes you can call Frank. He will tell you what you earned, aslo make sure you tell him your next cruise date, so you are on the VIP list at the Casino cage.

It takes about 3-4 weeks until he receives the manifest from your last cruise. Depending on your play, you will have earned casino cash, which you can use towards payment towards your next cruise ( if final payment hasn't been made) or you can pick up the earned cash at the Casino cage, by showing ID! It is considered Casino OBC, but it does not get put on your Seapass card like other OBC, it is given as cash at the Casino cage.

Also you will be entitled to free drinks in the casino, by showing your membership card. If you haven't received your card by your cruise date, you just have to let the bartender/server know you are a VIP and he can check at the Cage. Once they serve you for the 1st time, they remeber you! Especially if you tip good!!!:)

Any other questions feel free to ask!!

I will say, I have earned as little as $300.00 cash credit and as much as $1475.00 cash credit per cruise! I do find the Ships that have the actual monitors built in to put your Seapass card in to register your actual play, is when I get my most cash back. The Ships that don't have the insert for the seapass cards require you to inform the cage person what machines or gambling area you will be playing at, and then they monitor your play somehow ( and in my opinion , it isn't accurate).

I play the same on every cruise I take.:D
