JMB Posted January 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2009 Would be interested in comments/opinions from those of you who have experience with balcony cabins in the 700 series on the Aloha Deck of a Grand class ship, (GOLDEN PRINCESS). According to the deck plan, these cabins are located directly under the Horizon Court buffet, so was wondering about noise levels or any other such considerations if considering booking a cabin in this locaton. Thanks in advance for your help. JMB

Thanks in advance for your help. JMB We have found the 600-700 area is fine. If you get further forward then there is more of a chance for noise from above. :)
Druke I Posted January 12, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2009 I much prefer to book a cabin that has cabin decks immediately above and immediately below. On the Grand class, I think Caribe Deck (midships) is my favorite, with the 1/2 covered 1/2 uncovered balcony.
satxdiver Posted January 13, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2009 We were on the Grand Princess and had a stateroom immediately below the Horizon Court. The only problem with noise that we had was when they were cleaning and dragging chairs around so that they could clean under them. The noise was a bit disturbing. The next cruise we moved down one deck and were much happier.
