Below is a link to my husbands picture galleries from our 12/29/2008 Zuiderdam sailing. The pictures in the gallery for January 6, include some from around the ship.

I am still working on my pictures and will post the full link when complete; however, some of you planning your vacations may be interested in our cabin pictures. We were in a VA, deluxe verandah cabin 8124. Originally, we booked a VF guarantee. We requested a room on Deck 5 so as to avoid the steel railings on the VFs on Deck 4, and we got moved to a VA. So, we did well. I do not think I would have liked a steel railing as much as it would have really cut off the view. My cabin pictures are here:

Great Photos!

Still have to wait 10 months for my ZUIDERDAM cruise 11/13/09:(!

I'm always looking for birdwatching opportunities - how did you find Leo

in Curacao to see flamingos, etc.?

Was your Tortugero Canal excursion through HAL or independent?

(PS - Your Cactus Vulture may be a "Crested Caracara" a type of large hawk, the national bird of Mexico - the bird in the Canal is a "Yellow Crowned Night Heron")

Thanks!:)
