When I'm on the ships as crew for months at a time its nice to get away from the World's drama like wars, crashing economy etc. The ships its own little world and I love it. Lately, I have been telling my husband that I wish everyday is Saturday or Sunday so I do not have to hear the stock market. We are OK. Life is too short; enjoy it. Happy Crusing. morecruise4me Posted January 17, 2009 #16 Share Posted January 17, 2009 everyday life. On a cruise, I am totally incomunicado. For a short (too short) time, time stands still. There is nothing but the ship and the islands and the warm sunshine and the turquois waters. I get to live the dream...ahhh :)
2Cruise4Ever Posted January 17, 2009 #17 Share Posted January 17, 2009 It the cruise was right now, I'd say the frigid weather (wind chill -5 yesterday). But, I look forward to pretty much everything that's been mentioned already. But, if I had to choose: it's not getting away from something, but more like spending more quality time with my family. No homework, dishes, cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc. We can all relax and have fun together.
ILoveScotland Posted January 17, 2009 #18 Share Posted January 17, 2009 Responsibility for all parts of my life: work, caregiving of aging husband, household matters. Sure it's there when I return, and DH even goes with me on the cruise, but a week or so respite sure helps.
