Lunch in dining room on embarkation day

Generally the dining room is only open for lunch on a cruise that is transitioning....for example when the Veendam goes from Tampa to Vancouver in the spring. When the ship stops in San Diego the dining room is open. On the other hand, when a ship ends a 7,10, or 15 day cruise in the same port as it began, then the dining room staff will have the debark/embark day off.

For quite some time now -- nearly a year or more -- only the Vista class ships have had the dining room open for lunch on embarkation day -- Noon to 1 PM.

The Eurodam -- now that she has stopped inviting people -- TA's and special guests -- has finally opened its dining room for the passengers. It was open on our Nov 22 and Nov 29 cruises.
