Equinox

Deck - Sunrise Deck (7)

Cabin # - 7317

Class – Sunset View (Aft)

Starboard or Port Side - Center Aft

Bed near? (balcony or bath) – Bath

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – neighbors were inconsiderate and arguing all the time, but that's a first in well over 20 cruises, and they were silent the last 4 days. Walls are thin however.

Balcony View - Excellent, no obstructions. Larger than most afts. Higher up would be less obstructed by lower solar panels, but they are no big issue at all.

Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? Yes, especially the last few days. They cleaned all aft balconies around day 12, but some soot still evident.

Any specific problems with this cabin? None.

Any other comments? Great cabin..still a few things we'd change with the design, but very nice.

Deck -8

Cabin # - 8178

Class –2A

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – pretty quiet other than occasional sounds from adjoining (not connecting) cabins, but nothing unique to this cabin.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – good view. If you stand up and look down over the rail you see lifeboats 2 decks down, but sitting down it's clear.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Was wind a problem? No (forward hump probably blocks some of the wind)

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? No

Any other comments? good mid-ship location, close to forward elevators

Deck - 11

Cabin # - 1672

Class – Concierge

Starboard or Port Side - Aft

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Quiet

Balcony View - Fabulous aft view

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Two adjustable chairs with footstools which served as more seating; nice mesh fabric which dried quickly; table

Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? Slight and occasional soot was no problem; balconies cleaned at least twice (with written notice for our convenience)

Any specific problems with this cabin? None

Any other comments? I'm sure this would apply to all rooms: Bring suction cup hooks (we put ours on the mirror in room) and over the door hooks because there are only two tiny hooks on the bedroom wall and none on bathroom door. Also bring a flashlight or stick-on light for the closet. It's dark.

Deck - 6

Cabin # - 6135

Class – 2B

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Middle

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Quiet

Balcony View - Fabulous view

Balcony Size? Since we had handicap room, it was oversize. Three adjustable chairs; table where we had breakfast everyday.

Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? No problem

Any specific problems with this cabin? None

Any other comments? We didn't ask for Handicap room, but am glad we got one, as we had loads of space. Bathrobes on hooks in bathroom, lots of closet space. Just had to wait for the door to close every time we left the cabin. But no problem with that. Shower was large and leaked a bit since there was no lip on it. We just mopped it up each time.

Deck - Penthouse - Deck 11

Cabin # - 1577

Class – Aqua Class

Starboard or Port Side - Port but that didn't matter, the ship docked on either side. ;)

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – the room stewards closet was directly across from our door, so we heard it shutting allot. We could hear footsteps above us on the deck all hours of the night. The cabins are not as sound proof as they are on other ships. We could here our neighbors talking and their toilet being flushed!

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Good view.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Just nice, with a wooden table and two lounge/chairs with separate foot rests. The lounges adjust too.

Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem?

Any specific problems with this cabin? None, except for what I mentioned above.

Any other comments? Aqua Class has many nice amenities, iced tea, fruit, canapes every day, flowers etc., but Blu restaurant wasn't what we expected, not worth the extra money. Get a regular balcony cabin and eat in the main dining room or any of the restaurants.
