tiffstulips Posted January 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2009 What kind of nightlife is there for the teens on the ship? I will be on Serenade with my 14 yr old dd's (twins) They are driving me crazy about what they will do while dad and I are doing "adult things" after dinner. :p
Markmom18 Posted January 22, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2009 Our son will be going on his 3rd RCI cruise with us. He LOVES to hang with his new friends at Fuel/Living Room (he's now 17). We were a bit concerned that he wouldn't want to go hang with the teens. Ha..we hardly see him, he checks in and has his phone with him. As his mom, I feel completely comfortable as the activities are chaperoned.
reallyitsmema Posted January 22, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2009 http://s204.photobucket.com/albums/bb196/cruisinmama06/ Here is a link to Crusinmama06 collection of kids cruise compasses. This should give your kids an idea of what activities are out there for kids. We have sailed the Mariner twice with our teen, at 16 and 17. He has a great time in Fuel and the living room. Mountain Sky Posted January 22, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2009 When are you sailing on the Serenade, we are on Feb 7th and have a 17 yr old son and a 15 yr old daughter. I have found they go to shows, hangout at pool and do what they do at home, chat with friends they make. Serenade is such a port intensive cruise I don't see them being up to the wee hours much as they will be on shore for activites everyday by 9:00AM. Looking forward to see how Fuel works for them as well. They are very sociable and make new friends easily. They are still in contact with many all over the world they have made on various trips. galavant3 Posted January 22, 2009 #7 Share Posted January 22, 2009 Make sure they go to whatever event they have scheduled for their age group the very first night. We have found that our kids make friends then and are together all week. Cruising is our kids' favorite vacation!
