How soon can you access room

I know that luggage can get to the rooms at all different times but how soon are you able to go into your room once boarding ship?

We were able to go to our room right away. Got onboard at 3:00 for our 10:00 sailing on the Victory in November.

thanks. Was just curious because my son is prone to seizures and can get very tired if he has one.

It really varies depending on how fast everyone departs from the cruise before you. On the Imagination they had the doors closed off that lead to the rooms. But on the Valor we were able to at least put our carry on's in the room while the room was being made up.

Usually about 1 pm. We get there so we are onboard before noon and take our stuff up to the buffet and find a comfortable table by a window to watch from and take turns watching the "stuff" we carried on and getting in line to fill our plates.

If you can't get into your room and your son needs a place to lie down there are 2,357 lounge chairs on the average cruise ship, some are already in the shade and they are quite comfy.

I agree with firefly. DW and I have never been allowed in prior to 1-1:30, other than to drop off carry-ons.
