Downtown PV to Krystal?

We are going to visit downtown PV (flea market area) before our massages at the Krystal. If we catch a cab will they know which place we are talking about when we ask for the Krystal....do the people from PV know it as the Krystal? Also, how much should we pay for a taxi to get us there?

It should cost you 60 pesos from the port to downtown (the Malecon) and the same coming back (this assumes you are taking a bright yellow city taxi vs. a white taxi on port property).

 

The full name for the resort is Krystal Vallarta and they will know where you want to go.

There are plenty of local buses that run from downtown (Centro) out ot the Krystal and even further on to Sams/Walmart which is directly across from the cruise ship terminal. The bus fare is 5.5 pesos and they run about every minute.

All taxi drivers know where it is. Pronounce it Kree-stahl, and you will have no problem. Also be aware that if you are on the far side of the bridge near the flea market area, the taxi will cost you about $1 more.

 

"The bus fare is 5.5 pesos and they run about every minute." Except when you are pressed for time! If you plan to catch a bus, make sure you figure out ahead of time where to catch one.
