idjaffe Posted November 17, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2004 I have been trying to confirm my trip with them for almost 2 weeks. I had e-mails back and forth for a little while, and now they seem to have disapeared. The phone number is not working, and e-mails are not returned. Not feeling very confident with them...may need to move on to Capt. Marvins. Anyone been in touch with them recently?
BobbieSu Posted November 17, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2004 I received an email on the 13th concerning a tour with them. Sharon had responded to me within a day. Su
lauren0309 Posted November 17, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2004 I have gotten 2 e-mails from them this week to confirm a reservation. Sharon replied within a day or two. Also she even called me to get my credit card number to hold my reservation. She was very nice to speak to.
idjaffe Posted November 17, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted November 17, 2004 Very strange. Can you confirm her e-mail. I have it as: nativway@CandW.ky or do you have a working phone number for her? Thanks, Ira

Nanatravel Posted November 18, 2004 #7 Share Posted November 18, 2004 We toured with Nativeway last Thursday. Power is still out on many parts of the island. Inspections are going on in neighborhoods on a weekly schedule. Someone must be at the property for the inspector to ok that power is restored to the property. Your next door neighbor could have power, but you won't get yours if everything is not just right! Bon Voyage

golfknut Posted November 18, 2004 #9 Share Posted November 18, 2004 I sent a reservation request a week or more ago and heard nothing back. I then re-emailed my request and got a response from Sharon within a day. Don't know if she didn't get the first message or not.

Bikkek Posted November 20, 2004 #11 Share Posted November 20, 2004 I emailed questions and a reservation request last Saturday and Sunday and received a reply from Sharon within a day each time. She then called on Monday for cc# number to hold reservation. Very painless indeed! Later, Keith
Donnask8pro Posted November 20, 2004 #12 Share Posted November 20, 2004 Is everyone talking about the Stingray tour? I received confirmation of my reservation (took days and several emails from me) and no one asked me for a credit card #. Now I am worried. But I have a printed email. I hope this helps me

mnsawyer Posted November 21, 2004 #14 Share Posted November 21, 2004 I received an e-mail from Sharon within a day just a week or so ago. Just as an FYI, if you are cruising on the Valor, they will make accommodations for the Rum Point tour since the ship doesn't dock until 9:00 a.m. and departs at 5:30 p.m. The tour for those on the Valor would start at 10:00 a.m. instead of the usual 8:45 a.m. time. KayM Posted November 21, 2004 #15 Share Posted November 21, 2004 We just returned from our Carnival, Inspiration cruise and we fortunately booked with Native Way for the StingRay City Tour prior! The ship's excursions were cancelled that day due to rough seas. Some may accept that as a safety issue - but we did not want to miss this opportunity to "swim with the stingrays". The Native Way "rep" delayed our departure a bit - and the sea did calm down alittle - though we were unable to snorkel. It was a terrific experience and were we SO glad that we got to go. Others booked on the ship's excursions were VERY disappointed! I did receive e-mail confirmation but was not required to provide a deposit. We paid on-board their boat. MarkButton Posted November 22, 2004 #17 Share Posted November 22, 2004 MOST people on Cayman do not have phone lines still and we are only just now getting up on the internet through our cable providers. Communications have been somewhat difficult to say the least. When I first got on line after 7 weeks I had 200 emails. Nativeway is alive and I've seen them at the dock. All the best to all those coming to Cayman in the future we are back in business. And the stingray's are as abundant as ever and looking forward to seeing you. idjaffe Posted November 22, 2004 Author #18 Share Posted November 22, 2004 Dojn't know why she is not responding to me. We want to charter a boat from her since we are 15 people. She sent me a note a couple of weeks ago looking for my phone number, and I have not heard from her since. I will try one more time today and then give up and go with another operator. allovertanguy Posted November 25, 2004 #19 Share Posted November 25, 2004 I emailed Native Ways several days ago and haven't got a reply yet either.
