Just back from a short winter escape trip.

Pre cruise: Stayed at the beautiful Hard Rock in Hollywood, Ft. Lauderdale http://www.seminolehardrockhollywood.com/

Staying during the week, our cost for a room with 2 queen beds overlooking the pool with a balcony was $171.00 per night. This awesome resort has a casino, many restaurants, shops, heated pool, tons of nightlife (we saw a Cirqu of Dreams show at $50.00/pp). This is our 2nd stay here and would highly recommend.

RC - :)Navigator 2 night cruise to Coco cay. Wonderful trip. This is my 2nd time on this ship - and I love this ship. Been on Liberty and to me its close to the same but smaller. We are smokers, and there are plenty of smoking areas. We were a little disappointed in that we were unable to have the balcony doors opened for our 3 adjoining balcony cabins. As this is why we booked them together - but for 2 days we were ok, just don’t understand why. Our room steward was great. waiters were wonderful, food was terrific, and entertainment was awesome. and packed full of activities for a 2 day cruise - RCI really did a great job.

Coco Cay: :D 1st time here - this little island is just beautiful, clean, has everything you could want..the lunch provided by RC was really good - food was HOT.. no lines to wait in.. Just wonderful all the way around.

Complaints: well the casino still pays out in real money - not tickets, there was an added soda package on my bill that I had to dispute at the last min.. so check your room charges the night before you depart.

Embark and Disembark - Not one complaint.. very quick and smooth operation.. Much better than our experiences in Miami Port.

Post cruise hotel: Courtyard Marriott FLL Beach. http://www.ftlauderdaleoceanfront.com/

This little gem is seated right on the beach - in a super great location right at the beach drive and Las Olas Blvd. You can walk to shopping and restaurants ( Bubba Gumps is right downstairs) and just across the main road is the beach. The Hotel has a restaurant, pool (cold) and a 2 level terrace with plenty of tables and chairs for lounging, looking out over the ocean through the palms. A beautiful and quaint spot (smoking permitted here - not in the hotel) .

Cost for a Sat night stay, 2 queen beds, $244.00 per night.

Just out the lobby entrance is Coconuts Restaurant.. and it has the best food, friendly service, and just a great place to dine overlooking the intercoastal waterway while listening to steel drum music, watching the sunset and enjoying fresh seafoods.. What a fabulous place.

Transportation: ;)We have this fabulous driver - he made our trip very special by driving us to and from the airport, hotels and Port - His name is Victor.. and he is a real sweetheart - call him for rates: All Limos: www.alllimosflorida.com ph. 954-474-0409.. I wouldn't use any other.

Wonderful review. I was onboard with you and it couldn't have been a lovlier trip. It was only 2-days but somehow with all the activity it felt like it was longer.

I'd love to take another 2-day trip if they promise to be just as satisfying as this one was.

I was on the 2 day and the 5 day. We stayed at the Ramada Airport/Cruiseport on SR84 and it was clean and fine, pretty pool area. Easy to get to the port from there, we drove ourselves instead of taking the motels free shuttle. There were lots of pre-cruise people there. The free breakfast was more than just Continental, it had bacon, scrambled eggs, grits, etc.

My niece was 'Wow'ed' as Navigator was her first cruise ever. And Navigator kindled an interest in cruising in my daughter who had only been on Vision of the Seas 2 years ago
