cfc525 Posted January 30, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2009 Will be on the NCL Dawn in June in a cabin with balcony, deck 9 port side. Wondering how shaded the balcony is, could I really tan out there or is it more for just relaxing. This is first time with a balcony. I know how difficult it is to get a deck chair unless you're up at the crack of dawn...no pun intended!
cb at sea Posted January 31, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2009 Don't expect much sun on the balcony--each deck has another above, which will shade you. You may get actual sun either early morning or late afternoon, when the sun is lower in the sky. Plan to tan on an upper deck!
k.hill Posted January 31, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 31, 2009 It is only hard to get a chair right by the pool/stage, etc. There are always chairs to find in other areas (and often these are quieter, calmer, nicer places to lay and tan, read, etc.) just go a little away from the crowds and you'll easily find chairs. klct39lg Posted January 31, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 31, 2009 I got over tanning years ago, so I'd recommend sunscreen, shade and a good book.:) I just finished Sue Grafton's T is for Trespass -it's a keeper.;)
