Would like to do a crossing March/April 2010 for our 35th anniv. Those of you who have done it, how is the weather ... is it cold? Wouldn't want to be stuck inside most of the time or pay for a balcony that we won't use. Thank you!

What crossing? To and from where? That makes a huge difference. If it's a North Atlantic crossing, from NY to London, it will be very cold and could be quite choppy. If it's from Florida to Barcelona or Lisbon, it will be warmer for the first couple of days and then will get cooler as you get closer to the continent.

There are other options out there that would be warmer...Some lines have ships doing cruises in South America, and the final cruise leaves from Rio or Manaus and goes to the Med. Longer trip, more exotic ports...EM
