orchestra tendering question

The people in suites automatically given #1 tender slips. I don't think tour groups had to worry about them as they just left at certain times. Others had to pick up tender #'s at excursion desk or reception desk at certain times. I heard some people say that they never collected them anyways at the gangplank so it really didn't matter anyways perhaps?

It was chaos anyways at their private island (first port) for people to tender off. Long, time-consuming lines. Spent and hour waiting for our number to be called (#6) and then another 40 HOT minutes in the 5th deck cabin hallway inching our way to the exit. Felt sorry for those who had their cabins there - noise was deafening in the hallway.

Gave up, never got off and spent the afternoon up on deck with many others with like thoughts. Some who did get off spent less than an hour there and came right back.

Was on the 1/24/09 cruise. We tendered at Grand Caymon and Cayo. The experience was not good, had to wait in lines and we found out later that it was because of rough seas and they could only tender out of one side of the ship which meant only 1/2 of tenders could load and run. They can't control the weather but they should have made an announcement. People understand when they are informed. Of course the ship tours got off 1st. Tender numbers are issued at customer service 1st come 1st serve and they did not check them when you got on the tender but if you don't get one and they do check, don't complain.
