iluvazsun Posted February 11, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2009 Who has been in GC when the weather has not been warm enough for some snorkeling/beach tours? I am hoping it will be warm when we go there in 2 weeks, but weather has been showing possibility of it being in the 70's there. I need a plan B. Thanks! TheVegasMan Posted February 11, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2009 Long term weather forecasts are rarely very reliable. Even if the air temperature drops a bit the water remains warm. Make sure you have a big towel for when you get back on the boat and you should be fine.
bookbabe Posted February 12, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2009 :D No offense, but I can definitely tell you're from Arizona...in my part of the world, 70's is easily swimming/beach weather. When it's snowing and blowing at home, that "cool" temperature seems heavenly... :D

sports-mom Posted February 12, 2009 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2009 When we went down it was January, and it was wonderful. The water was a bit of a shock getting in, but once your in and moving around, your good to go :)
bookbabe Posted February 12, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 12, 2009 Okay, Plan B options for those who feel 70's is too cold to swim: :D Pedro St. James castle Botanical Gardens Butterfly Farm Island Tour (Trolley Roger? Private guide?) Rent a car and see the sights Shopping Relaxing at a beach bar Boatswains Beach (Turtle Farm) Hell (as a brief stop on an island tour?) Pirate Caves (cheesy tourist stop, but fun for kids) Blowholes Boat tours (there's a few that don't include swimming) mini-sub excursion (Atlantis? never been but I've seen ads) Ummm...that's just off the top of my head...I'm sure there's others... Anything there spark your interest as a Plan B?
