cwilloz Posted February 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2009 Does anyone have actual photos of the cabins on any of the ACCL ships? The only picture I've found is in their brochure and it requires a magnifying glass. I've read all the reviews and posts I can find on here and elsewhere, but no photos. DW is a little worried about 12 days in these cabins...our traveling companions are in their 70's and this might be more than they can handle. Thanks
Rare LHT28 Posted February 13, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2009 I wish I had taken more photos of the cabin I think ours were on video There is a review at http://smallshipcruises.com/cruisereport/cruisereportgrandemariner.shtml http://www.cruisecritic.com/reviews/cruiseline.cfm?CruiseLineID=72 They are very small, we were on the deck with the dining room our cabin was VERY noisy ..take earplugs Take shampoo etc they only supply hand soap, people had to find a store at our first port to buy the basics I would avoid them American Cruise Line is much better for the money
culebra Posted February 18, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2009 I think American Cruise Lines is about TWICE the cost of ACCL and they do not travel to the same destinations as their vessels cannot transit the canals. I heard the the Grande Caribe is undergoing a complete "refit" and will be all new in 2009. You might call their office as I"m sure they can email you some photos of cabins. http://www.accl-smallships.com

I do hope if ACCL does a refit they sound proof the cabins on the main deck from the engine room, put a door on the bathroom & locks on the cabin doors or at least provide a safe. Nothing worse than lying in your bed staring at the toilet.
