Rare MrSchwump Posted February 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2009 We're on the Caribbean Princess next week and our cabin is on the Riviera Deck. Walking aft, is there a door that opens to the pool area from the Riviera deck?

Rare MrSchwump Posted February 16, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted February 16, 2009 Thanks for the quick reply Colo! I figured there must be but couldn't find evidence of it on the deck plans.
TonyFred Posted February 16, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2009 We had a cabin near the aft on the Riviera deck on the CB a couple of years ago and absolutely loved the location. For one thing, there are no balconies above you so they are more private. And then the aft pool area.....it was great! The doors at the end of the hallways on the port and starboard sides lead right out to the pool. There is a bar back there for a quick cold one. There are deck chairs with terrific views of the wake of the ship. And the best part is that it is usually very quiet back there. Not a lot of folks come back there for some reason. At least not on the cruise we were on in the Caribbean. Another nice thing about the location is the closeness to the buffet area. It's just one quick flight up the rear stairs and you are in the buffet. You can go up there late at night or early in the morning and grab a quick snack to enjoy on your balcony. I have a cabin in the same location reserved on the Golden (but on the Aloha Deck on her) for my next Alaskan cruise. If we see something from our balcony, we can be on the aft of the boat within seconds for a better view and then duck back in the cabin to warm up.
