teacher2cruiser Posted February 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2009 Sailing 3 weeks from today and I haven't received documents in the mail. Will I? I sailed Carnival Holiday in November, and we did get documents in the mail. In case we don't, what do we need? I printed the online Funpass. tnt091605 Posted February 21, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2009 We just got back from sailing the Carnival Liberty. We did not get any documents. We just printed out everything out after registering on Carnival's website.
stlrboo Posted February 21, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2009 Did you possibly sign up for E-docs..??:) We have found that they work just as well, tho' we liked the 'mailed' luggage tags better!:p Normal mailing is between two weeks and 30 days...! Good luck!:D
misguidedangel Posted February 22, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 22, 2009 YOu might get them as late as one or two weeks prior, but if all else fails, I say print the edocs and run with them instead, less hassel.... I've gottem paper docs as late as 4 days prior to depature.....Yes, I was freaking out..
Mrs. Ram Posted February 22, 2009 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2009 I spoke with my PVP about ours as well and he said lately they only mail them if they are requested because they are trying to encourage everyone to print them in order to save some money. Not sure if all agents are participating in this.
ROCsabresfan Posted February 23, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 23, 2009 We are sailing in 13 days and my TA said that are docs are edocs. So I go to My Reservation on the carnival site and go to My Documents, but when I click on View, it does nothing. I don't know what else to do. It says at the top, Delivery preference - electronic, but then lower on the page it says that the documents will be mailed. What the heck!
yst347 Posted February 23, 2009 #7 Share Posted February 23, 2009 Don't Panic! As much as we all love having our cruise documents, they are not required to sail. What you must have are: 1) Completed Fun Pass 2) Proper ID required for sailing (Passport or BC&DL) 3) Proper method for funding ship board account (CC, DC, Cash) If you have these things you are all set to cruise with or without documents. When you arrive at the pier, the porters will have a copy of the manifest showing your cabin number. They will have luggage tags and provide you the proper ones for your cabin. Check-in is easy. Just relax, call your PVP/TA and ask how to receive or print your docs, but don't sweat not having them.:)
Rare Essiesmom Posted February 23, 2009 #8 Share Posted February 23, 2009 My laptop still has Windows XP and when I click on 'view docs' it parks a new window at the bottom. I usedtothink nothing was happening until I discovered that. (My new computer has Vista so the situation is different). EM
