To me too, maybe because it's by a hip-hop artist. Is hip-hop different then then rap? I don't know, I did a search on google but could not find a really good explaination on the difference between the two.

Yes, hip-hop is very different from Rap. Regardless of who recorded it, however, it is a very catchy tune.
