Staying on the ship while in port

What's your favorite thing to do if you stay on the ship while it's in port?

 

For me, if the spa has a really good special that day, that's what I'll do. It's either that or sit on my balcony with a good book or watch the comings and goings around the port.

 

I love the quiet of the ship while everyone is off and it's nice not to have long lines at the buffet. :D

We've done this many times for tender ports, ports we have been to several times, ports we don't like, etc. We enjoy the extra space and quiet on the ship!

Relax by the pool. We plan on staying on board while in Belize. Sleep in a little and enjoy the quiet of the ship. I love port days! Short lines at the buffet.

We did this once while stopped in Progreso. We spent the whole day by the pool. So nice not have to fight for deck chairs and we had waiters taking very good care of us. It was a very nice relaxing day.

Don't miss out on belize! it is wonderful. go cavetubing with cavetubing.com. there is little physical effort and you also get a nice ride through the country. the guides carry your tubes and push your tube for you. all you do is relax and be amazed. check it out you will not be disappointed.

I have never stayed on the entire port day but I have came back really early. It was nice and relaxing.

We stayed on Adventure of Seas in Antigua a few years ago. We had been there once before and not really impressed. It was the best day to do the rock climbing wall, roller blade course and mini golf. We really enjoyed watching everything going on at the docks. It was very relaxing.

came back early in acapulco once. we had a blast on the waterslide. it was just us.

We do this frequently on places that we have been that are not really fond of like Grand Cayman or Nassau. It is like having an extra sea day. We get to have a nice pool day for ourselves. I have heard that the spa has better prices. The waterslide and mini golf have noone there!

I have the hot tub all to myself usually. Then I get out, grab lunch with no lines. After that I grab a cold drink and a book, either sit on deck in the sun or on the balcony. Later I will watch people returning from port. It's fun to watch the drunks come back.

Yes a drink on the balcony and watch to Pax stagger back to the ship from our balcony. Also love the ones running as the ship is about to leave.:D:D
