ImADaneFan Posted March 8, 2009 #26 Share Posted March 8, 2009 Thanks so much for all the info and photos!! The courtyard area does seem a bit much to me... too much stuff going on... but not enough to turn me off from the Garden Villas!!!! Did anyone actually use the GV hot tubs? I guess you freeze on the way out and the way back... but enjoy the water when you are in it! We did use the hot tub quite a bit. The only time it was cold was when we were on our way back to LA. I think it was the last day out. It was pretty cold, but was warm as long as you were in the water. I just jumped out, grabbed a towel and went in the room with the steam shower and dried off. ;) I would do it again in a minute.
Bobbye Posted March 9, 2009 #27 Share Posted March 9, 2009 Here's some more pics of 14500. We used the hot tub a lot but didn't do Alaska. http://travel.webshots.com/album/562918722lJraDX It spoils you forever!

CarolynB Posted March 9, 2009 #29 Share Posted March 9, 2009 I'm not pirates, but I also like 14500 over 14000 because of "The bar.":) 14500 has a full bar (gorgeous wood) with stools. 14000 has a stainless steel pantry/kitchen with a small bar area on the other side of the room. Some pax with kids may prefer 14000 because of the pantry, though. We were in GV 14000. Loved it! We had 17 people sailing for DH's 60th with 4 kiddos in the group. The pantry/kitchen was perfect!
